Important! Basic rules to follow whilst searching Air-Ticket

01. Flexible with Travel Dates
A) Prices vary depending on the day of the week, time of year, and upcoming holidays. Consider always Christmas, New Year’s Eve, School Holidays, Thanksgiving Day, Fourth July etc. and try to avoid to fly during this time for saving in flight cost. Read our blog about cheaper flight ticket on which month

B) Flying during the off-season, or shoulder seasons is the best way to get a cheap flight when there will be less demand. For example Iceland in the Fall/Winter, or Mexico in the Summer.

C) Cheapest days: The cheapest days to fly are Tuesdays, Wednesday and Saturdays. Popular days will cost more which are usually Fridays and Sundays. The best time to book a flight is on Tuesday at 3 p.m. eastern time.

D) Early morning flights or red-eyes (overnight) will usually be cheaper. It is often cheap around the dinner hour. Flights with long layovers are also less expensive.

E) Always search one day before or after just out of curiosity. Sometime red-eye flights can technically leave on the next day.

F) August is a big month for travelling around Europe. Many Europeans go on vacation during this period. So avoid August. Peak seasons are June, July and August or December holidays.

G) Fares rarely go on sale further than three months in advance. So if you book early you will possibly miss out on some upcoming deals. On the other side, do not wait until the last minute to book.

H) The best time to buy international airline tickets is between 5 ½ months and 1 ½ month before departure. It is better to buy domestic tickets is between 3 months and 1 month before departure. But For popular flight times during the holiday season or for a long haul, look six months in advance.

02. Flexible with Your Destinations
A) Chase the fare, not the destination for getting a cheap flight. Look for the cheapest way to get your destination. Then decide among those where you would like to go.
B) Using Budget Airlines- Fly to Secondary Airports with Budget Carriers. It will be cheaper and helps keep costs down. Sometimes it is cheaper to fly to London and take a budget airline to Amsterdam than to fly direct to Amsterdam.
C) For long-distance flights, it can pay to book different legs separately rather than all at once. Try being flexible with the route you take.
D) If you live near a few airports, compare prices the fares for each. You may find driving an extra hour or two is well worth it.

03. Shop one passenger at a time
Shop one passenger at a time. Airlines consider multiple tickets sold in a single transaction must be the same price. If you shop for two tickets at the same time, and there is one ticket for £100 but the other tickets are $200. Airlines charge £200 for both tickets.

04. Book Flights Separately
Save money on the same exact itinerary, just booking each section independently. Or by booking two one way tickets instead of one round trip.

05. Student Discount
There are many discounts available for a student. Take Advantage of Student Discounts. Check out STA Travel and their search engine.

06. Sign Up for a Frequent Flier Program and airfare alerts
You will get the best prices in real-time is simple. sometimes you may find as big as 50% off the published fares. In addition, there are a few dedicated airfare websites you can check regularly to find a cheap flight like as follows:
flyzilla-Tripzilla– Find travel deals and tour packages to Singapore, China, Europe, Indonesia Australia etc. Worth to check by British Travellers

07. Airline rewards programs
No matter how often you fly, it is helpful to sign up for the airline’s reward program. This is a great way to get free flights, free upgrades, and free companion tickets.

08. Follow airlines on Twitter
Another great way to stay up to date on deals is to follow airlines on Twitter. This will keep you alerted of any delays, cancellations, competitions, sales and anything else.

09. Use VPN and delete cookies
Airlines prevent from comparison shopping. They look up your unique IP address in addition to storing cookies in your internet browser. Airlines attempt to make the most profit by charging different fares for people in different countries. For example, booking domestic flights from outside the country will often be more expensive than booking inside the country.
However, you can beat them at their game using a VPN (Virtual Private Network) to hide your location or pretend to be somewhere else. Use ZenMate VPN because it’s easy & free.

10. Check Fare calendars
Fare Calendar is sometimes handy to get a cheap flight. Use Fly.com’s Holiday Calendar

11. Credit cards
Credit Cards are the best way to go if you want to quickly and easily rack up frequent flyer miles.

When and How to buy cheap Ticket

12. Using Meta Search Engine
Still, the best way to find a good deal, using an airfare metasearch engine is quick and easy. Remember, not all search engines are equal. All websites have their weaknesses and do not include every airline. Every search engine uses a different search algorithm. We mentioned it at the first part of this article

13. On your flight day, do not forget to act
– Get to the airport early- during peak season get to the airport anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours earlier than normal. Airport lines will be long. If you are not at the gate before the aircraft door closes, you will not be flying.
– Keep an eye on the weather: Summer weather can be much worse than winter. Thunderstorms delay flights more often than snowstorms so be aware and know what to do if your flight is cancelled or delayed.
– Watch the baggage fees: A cheap flight can rapidly turn into an expensive one if you do not watch bag fees.

We compiled this article from various sources with our practical travel agency experience. We believe that if you follow the few tips, you will save a substantial amount of money on travelling. These are general guidelines but please keep in mind there are always exceptions vary region to region, month to month
